Why agencies look for an Instantly alternative
Per-workspace subscriptions
Instantly keeps each client in an isolated workspace, which is good for client separation. But its own guide to managing client workspaces says to "subscribe to any plan to activate that workspace", and sending accounts can't be shared across workspaces. Ten clients in ten workspaces means ten subscriptions.
Plan gates
Growth costs $47 a month ($37.60 billed yearly) and allows 5,000 emails and 1,000 uploaded contacts. Hypergrowth costs $97 a month ($77.60 yearly) with 25,000 contacts; Instantly's pricing page lists its email allowance inconsistently, so confirm it before you plan around it. Light Speed costs $358 a month ($286.30 yearly) for 500,000 emails and SISR. The white-label agency portal needs Hypergrowth or Light Speed.
Separate credits for lead data
Lead-data credits are a separate subscription, from $47 a month. Bundles combine them: Starter $94, Scale $194 and Agency $555 a month.
What Instantly does well
Instantly includes unlimited email accounts and warm-up on every plan, has an easy UI and a large community, and offers dedicated server and IP blocks on Light Speed. For a solo operator or an agency with a few clients, it's hard to beat on simplicity.
How we tested
This is a pricing and feature comparison from published pages, not a scored product trial. We priced every tool against one agency scenario: 10 clients, 30 mailboxes (3 per client), about 60,000 emails a month (about 6,000 per client). Figures were re-checked on each vendor's pricing page or official help/price file on 31 October 2026. LeadSnipper screenshots are from our own site. We do not claim paid seats or hands-on UI scores for every competitor listed here.
We weighed each tool on these criteria, in order of importance for agencies:
- Per-client cost at 10 clients
- Client isolation (separate workspaces, mailboxes and reports)
- Mailbox limits and pacing
- Bounce and complaint safeguards, including auto-pause
- Lead verification before send
- Client reporting and white-label
- LinkedIn steps, for agencies that need them
- Multi-client workspace
- A separate area per client with its own mailboxes, leads, campaigns and reports, so one client's data and reputation don't mix with another's.
- Auto-pause
- A safeguard that stops a campaign automatically when bounce or complaint rates cross a threshold.

1. Smartlead
Best for: Agencies that want per-client white-label workspaces on one account
Smartlead is the closest agency-grade replacement for Instantly. Like Instantly, it allows unlimited email accounts on every plan. Instantly vs Smartlead for agencies: the short answer
Both send through your own connected mailboxes and allow unlimited email accounts. The difference is how they bill for clients. Instantly makes every client workspace its own subscription; Smartlead charges one plan plus $29 per white-label client workspace from Pro.
With a few clients, Instantly's simplicity and included warm-up often win. As the client count grows, Smartlead's per-client add-on usually costs less than stacking workspace subscriptions. Head-to-heads: Instantly vs LeadSnipper and Smartlead vs LeadSnipper.
| For agencies | Smartlead | Instantly |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | Flat plan ($39–$379) plus $29 per white-label client workspace | Flat plan per workspace ($47–$358); each client workspace is its own subscription |

Deliverability safeguards to check before you switch
Check these five things in a trial before you move client campaigns. They protect your clients' domains more than any single feature.
- Per-mailbox daily caps and pacing. Each mailbox should have its own daily limit and a delay between sends, not just a campaign-wide cap. Smartlead publishes guidance of up to 50 cold emails per mailbox per day; treat any number as a starting point and work out your own with our cold email sending limit calculator and the guide on how many cold emails to send per day.
- Verify before send. Lists from lead databases still contain dead and risky addresses. Verify every import before it enters a sequence. Our Apollo data quality and bounce rate guide shows why this matters even for "verified" data.
- Bounce and complaint thresholds with auto-pause. Ask each vendor what happens when a campaign crosses a bounce or complaint threshold. A tool that keeps sending until you notice will burn a client's domain.
- Domain isolation per client. Give every client its own sending domains and mailboxes, so one client's list quality can't drag down another's reputation.
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC on every sending domain. Check alignment before the first send. See our SPF, DKIM and DMARC guide for cold email.
How to migrate from Instantly without burning domains
- Export contacts, sequences and any unsubscribe or do-not-contact lists from Instantly.
- Re-verify the list before importing. Addresses decay every month, and a migration is the easiest time to clean them.
- Connect mailboxes (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho or custom SMTP/IMAP) and confirm SPF, DKIM and DMARC still pass.
- Ramp daily caps on the new tool instead of starting at your old volume.
- Rebuild sequences and re-check spintax, variables and links. Instantly writes spintax as
{{RANDOM | a | b}}; Smartlead and many other tools use{a|b}, so translate it before launch. - Keep Instantly running until the last in-flight sequence finishes, so no prospect gets a duplicate first touch.
If you're moving to LeadSnipper, our setup services cover Google Workspace setup (DNS, SPF/DKIM/DMARC), inbox connection troubleshooting and Microsoft 365 block support.
FAQ
What is the best Instantly alternative for agencies with many clients?
Smartlead is the most common pick: unlimited email accounts on every plan and white-label client workspaces at $29 per client from Pro ($94/month), with three included on Unlimited Prime. Saleshandy puts many client workspaces on one bill, and EmailBison suits 20+ clients at high volume. LeadSnipper fits budget-conscious agencies that want mailbox caps, pre-send verification and auto-pause from $19 (₹999) a month.
Does Instantly charge per client workspace?
Effectively, yes. Instantly workspaces are isolated, and Instantly's own guide says to subscribe to a plan to activate each workspace, so 10 clients in separate workspaces means 10 subscriptions. Growth costs $47/month ($37.60 yearly) per workspace with a 5,000-email cap, and Hypergrowth costs $97/month ($77.60 yearly). Sending accounts can't be shared across workspaces. Prices checked on instantly.ai on 26 October 2026.
Is Smartlead better than Instantly for agencies?
For agencies with many clients, usually yes on cost structure. Smartlead charges one plan plus $29 per white-label client workspace from Pro, while Instantly needs a separate subscription per client workspace. Instantly is simpler to run, includes warm-up on every plan and offers dedicated IPs (SISR) on Light Speed. If you run only a few clients, Instantly's per-workspace model costs you much less extra.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Instantly?
Yes, depending on your volume. Smartlead Base starts at $39/month, Saleshandy Starter at about $34/month billed yearly, and LeadSnipper at $19 (₹999) a month for 10 mailboxes and 10,000 emails. Instantly Growth is $47/month ($37.60 yearly) per workspace. For agencies the bigger saving often comes from avoiding one subscription per client, so price your real client count, not just the entry plan.
Which Instantly alternative has white-label client reporting?
Smartlead offers white-label client workspaces at $29 per month each from Pro. Saleshandy offers white-label from its Scale tier, and Woodpecker adds White Label at about $5 per client on top of its $27 Agency Panel. Instantly itself has a white-label agency portal on Hypergrowth and Light Speed. LeadSnipper offers campaign analytics and PDF campaign export on eligible plans, not white-label.
What should I use instead of Instantly if I need LinkedIn outreach?
Instantly is email-first, so for LinkedIn steps look at lemlist or Reply.io. lemlist's Multichannel plan costs $109 per user per month ($87 yearly) and adds LinkedIn and call steps. Reply.io Multichannel costs about $89 per user per month billed yearly, or $99 monthly, and covers LinkedIn, calls and SMS. Both price multichannel per user, which matters when an agency has several SDRs.
How do I move campaigns from Instantly without hurting deliverability?
Export leads and campaigns, re-verify the list, and reconnect your Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho or SMTP mailboxes. Start the new tool at low daily caps and ramp up. Rebuild sequences and translate spintax: Instantly uses {{RANDOM | a | b}}, while Smartlead and many others use {a|b}. Keep Instantly running until in-flight sequences finish so prospects don't receive duplicate first emails.
Is there an Instantly alternative that bills in Indian rupees?
Yes. LeadSnipper publishes INR pricing: Starter ₹999, Growth ₹2,499 and Scale ₹5,999 a month, plus a 14-day trial with 1,000 emails, 2 mailboxes and 1 custom domain. Instantly, Smartlead and most alternatives publish USD prices only, so Indian agencies pay in dollars plus forex charges. Any rupee number for those tools is a conversion, not the vendor's own price.
Verdict
Choose Smartlead for per-client white-label, Saleshandy or EmailBison to keep many clients on one bill, and lemlist or Reply.io if you need LinkedIn. Choose LeadSnipper for a low monthly price, published INR billing and safeguards like mailbox caps, pre-send verification and auto-pause.
